My name is Anar Mammadli — online I go by Anar Malikoglu. I am a senior back-end developer from Baku who moved into mobile with Flutter and into product building with Verbooze.

I started programming professionally in 2014 while studying Computer Science at Baku State University. My first job at an advertising agency taught me to ship: 28 websites in two years, including four for government bodies. Real-estate portals, agency work and heavy SEO followed — the kind of projects where "works on my machine" is not an option because 25,000 people visit every day.

From 2020 onwards the projects grew in scale and responsibility. At Western Caspian University I built an e-university platform from scratch when the pandemic made it the only way to run exams for 5,000+ students. At Digital Ecology I led a team of 20 engineers building a unified ERP for 17 state institutions. For the World Capoeira Federation I designed the tournament, ranking and payments platform that ran the European Championship 2024 in Budapest. Today I am rebuilding a banking core in Serbia that handles 22M+ transactions a day.

In 2025 I founded Verbooze, Azerbaijan's first gamified English-learning platform. It passed 50,000 users within six months and went on to 10K+ daily actives, a 4.8★ store rating, €50,000 of international investment and second place at the MilliNet 2025 awards. Besides Verbooze, my Google Play developer account has 14 live apps — games, tools and business apps built with Flutter — with more in review.

What I care about: data structures before code, measurable results before features, and systems that stay boring under load. I work in Azerbaijani, Russian and English and am comfortable working remotely with teams anywhere.
